'Nederlandstalige Media in een Meertalige Stad'. Stoemp lecture by Anne Brumagne, editor-in-chief of Brussel Deze Week, 19 December, 12h15
19/12/2013 12:15 - 14:30
Brussels
iMinds-SMIT-VUB and the Brussels Platform for Journalism warmly invite you to the monthly Stoemp lunch lecture on Brussels serving pea soup, 'stoemp', sausage and bread. We have invited Anne Brumagne to talk about Dutch-speaking media in Brussels.

The Flemish-Brussels media consists of Brussel Deze Week, Agenda, Brusselnieuws.be, TVBrussel and FM Brussels. Although these different media pay particular attention to the Dutch-speakers in the capital, they also cherish the ambition to be a source of information for all inhabitants of Brussels. But Brussels is a very fragmented city, where many languages are spoken and people of very different origins live together. Which turns this ambition into quite a challenge.

This lecture is organised in collaboration with IRIB (Institut de Recherches Interdisciplinaires sur Bruxelles (fusl)), UAB Urban Studies Network (Stadsplatform) and Brussels Studies Institute.

Anne Brumagne is editor-in-chief of Brussel Deze Week, which consist of the magazine Brussel Deze Week, the cultural event magazine Agenda and the news site brusselnieuws.be.
